Recordings of Movement

Installation 2024

Paper, acrylic, soundfile

An investigation in how slowness can be seen as a fundamental condition for perception, learning and creativity. What is my own speed, and how does slowing down affect me? Based on an encounter with a slowly crawling snail and an intuitive translation of the experience into painting, I have painted seemingly identical repetitive lines with a soft brush and black paint. When the half-dried paint is washed away, individual patterns are formed that I let a randomly selected AI program interpret into short pieces of music. From the slowest to the fastest, I also ask the question what is it that we think we should achieve, and above all what we can conceivably miss out on, through this ever-increasing speed and efficiency?

Cut

Installation, 2023.

Tulle, stone, glass, scissors, nylon thread.

From the group exhibition: ‘Crossroads - Humanity and AI’

A thin line runs between our past and future. Will you cut?

Coming out

Textile installation. In collaboration with Kivik Art Centre, 2024.

Om våren.

Det är vår, tidig vår. Vattnet rinner i bäcken, fåglarna sjunger, knoppar sticker ut.
